new kiln

Well I finally have my new kiln in place. My husband worked all day yesturday putting in a bigger exhaust fan and the metal sheeting on the walls. I can't wait to fill it up! I have been doing lot's of potting these last 2 weeks so now it's waiting for it all to dry before i load it up. I'm trying some new things - like cannister sets and small water fountains.

Big Pot

I finshed my big pot today, it's 22 inches high. My son Ryan is standing beside the pot - he thought he needed to be in the picture. Also made 11 french butter keepers, they are a pain to make but i have so many requests for them.

This is some of my new pottery that i had ready for the studio tour, i did very well, had great sales and around 30 - 40 visitors - double of last year.

Rainy weather

We have had 2 days of wet weather and i love it! Finally have a chance to work in the studio. Have a large vase in 2 pieces ready to put together, will post a picture when it's in one piece.

Studio Tour

The Studio Tour is coming up this weekend - we have had a very busy fall on the farm so not much of my time went into my pottery studio. My friend Margi came over yesterday and helped clean up, we washed walls and floors! Lauren came over in the evening and helped me price everything and arrange my shelves. I think i am ready, thanks to my friends.
